Kristi has been practicing yoga on and off for over 25 years, and in 2018 she decided to pursue her teaching certificate. Yoga is a rich journey that continues to shape the mind  and challenge the body while bringing peace to the soul. Kristi recently completed her teacher training in Feb. 2019 and is excited to share what she's learned with her broader community. Kristi lives in Wabash with her husband Richie, a Wabash native, and her 3 boys, Jonas, Ezra and Luc. They live in a small cabin in the woods just outside of town and have 3 dogs, 5 cats, and most likely pet mice, chickens, and a reptile or two. Kristi also enjoys painting, cooking, gardening and traveling.

Jessy Pearson-Cheney, RYT® 200, has practiced yoga since 2008 when she discovered it was a way to positively handle the stress of college. As a new student, Jessy had no aspirations to explore the path of becoming a teacher, but her instructors saw potential in her practice and encouraged her to explore the opportunity. Jessy completed her first yoga teacher training through YogaFit in 2013. A few months later she deepened her study and earned her YogaFit Prenatal certification. In 2019 she completed her 200-hour certification with Bhogah Yoga School under the guidance of Brianne Barrett. Though her initial introduction to the practice was asana based, Jessy quickly found yoga to be a holistic lifestyle that supports peace and balance. Jessy worked in social services for many years and brings her passion for trauma-focused care to the mat. She believes that every person has the ability to thrive when they are empowered through love, respect, and access to resources. Jessy sees the mat as a place to find the inner healing that is necessary to find your true self and thrive. In additional to her general classes, Jessy has experience working with individuals in recovery, junior high and high school students, and clients over age 65.  When she’s not teaching or practicing, Jessy enjoys reading, discovering local coffee shops while traveling, and writing. Jessy lives in Marion with her husband, Travis, and their Silky Terrier, Rose.
